As we continue our journey as sister stores, we want y’all to get to know us as much as we want to get to know each of you. Following the opening of our Richmond boutique in August 2023 at The Carytown Exchange, we relocated our Virginia Beach boutique from Town Center to Hilltop under the leadership of dual owner, Leigh Sewell.

Leigh has a passion for fashion and a knack for leadership coming from a background in Hospital Administration. She has worked tirelessly to ensure perfection from staff to inventory at both locations all whilst seeking to provide both customers and staff with a beautiful place both to work and shop. Visually pleasing aesthetics are a large part of the Monkee’s Franchise and Leigh has taken it one step further with custom hand-painted murals in each of her two locations.

Under Leigh’s leadership you can find staff members from all different backgrounds and walks of life who have banded together in their love of all things fashion! We have staff at both locations ranging from busy college students to fabulous retirees who have made Monkee’s their latest and greatest passion.

Whether you are visiting our coastal location or find yourself in the bustle of Carytown, we hope to provide each of you with a memorable and personalized shopping experience where you’ll find a carefully curated collection of merchandise and be able to update your wardrobe from head to toe.
